Families in Crisis

Warsaw Volunteer Mission offers to caring individuals, companies and various types of organisations the possibility of supporting one or more of our neediest families! 

Our purpose is to provide material, emotional, and spiritual help to those in need. Currently major emphasis is directed toward Families in Crisis.  These are indigent families, whose members struggle with traumatic circumstances such as terminally ill children, bereavement, etc.

The families we help are divided into two categories; "Regular" and "Exceptional" Cases.  Some fall in to both categories.

Regular Cases:

• All relevant data on recipients as well as pictures are provided
• The option of direct contact between the sponsor and the family is available, though if preferred, supporters may remain anonymous
• As our vision is more long term, that of "teaching a man to fish" there is a clear plan in each case to move beneficiaries toward independence
• All support commitments are valid only for a maximum of either 6 or 12 months, depending on the specific situation, at which time a review will take place in each of these needy cases
• A suggested basic donation would be the equivalent of  Euro 100 or upwards per month, although there is also an available option of sharing sponsorship
• All donations include a 15% contribution to cover the procuring and delivery of needed furniture, household appliances, food, clothing and toys etc. as well as other related running costs such as petrol

Exceptional Cases:

• There are also some exceptional situations where a substantial amount of one-off funding is needed for a specific crisis.  In such cases all relevant info is provided, along with the distinction of whether or not monthly support is also being sought for the recipients.
