Another Special Project Underway!

With the welcome arrival of beautiful Spring weather, we have just begun to put the latest Fund Raising efforts of our dear friends in the local Dutch speaking community to good use.  In consultation with our faithful partners at “Gewoon Doen” (Dutch for “Just Do It!”) we selected Anna & Jaroslaw’s family for urgent assistance with their living conditions. Theirs is a very needy situation, living with 3 children without a proper kitchen or indoor toilet, a badly damaged roof, the whole house mouldy and needing to be redecorated and renovated. Anna is unable to work as she looks after her youngest child, and Jaroslaw works only part time due to health problems with a damaged spinal cord. In a wonderful “win-win” set up, we have hired Jarek’s fledgling company to do the work. As some of you may know, Jarek is an ex-prisoner who underwent a transformation via WVM's "Life Impact" workshops, and now with his brother Artur and others with similar backgrounds, he is building a small construction/renovation company. We hope the pictures below will give you an idea of the need and current steps being taken.
