Helping Needy Families at Christmas
For the 4th consecutive year, many local American Embassy families connected with our December fund raising efforts, as did our friends at IAS in Kabaty, FIBC in Copenhagen, and many others. Besides lots of food, clothes, and nice presents, in total we were able to collect PLN 18,030 in extra financial gifts, which was distributed among 27 families. Many also volunteered their time, such as Embassy staff member Don (pictured here) and Kasia, who helped by transporting the Michalik family home from WVM's Christmas Community Meeting. A special word of appreciation to all who lovingly contributed - in such a wide variety of ways - to bring "comfort and joy" to others in need during December.
